A leading brand in the supply and maintenance of construction machinery across the UK, ADR Specialists Ltd is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team in Lancashire.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced service engineer to cover various heavy plant machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Repairing and maintaining machines on customers' sites to ensure conformance with manufacturer's specifications.
  • Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines.
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet.
  • Submitting daily timesheets and job cards.
  • Accurately ordering parts and working closely with the parts department.
  • Working closely with the service supervisor.
  • Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers.
  • Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required, in conformance with manufacturer's specifications and any regulations affecting their use.
  • Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine, and notifying the appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as City and Guild, NVQ, or SVQ in Construction Plant/HGV/Light Vehicle, etc.
  • Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and work well in a busy environment.
  • Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers.
  • Good IT skills.
  • A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work.
