About the Company:
South Gloucestershire Council is a leading provider of grounds maintenance services in the region, seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Grounds Maintenance Worker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, leaf blowing, litter picking, and weed spraying in various outdoor environments.
- Undertaking winter and summer maintenance operations using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Assisting in landscaping works, including planting bedding, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintaining the council's cycle route network and assisting in waste collection activities.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations while using commercial powered hand tools.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in gardening/grounds maintenance roles.
- Physical abilities to operate professional grounds equipment.
- Full UK driving license with experience driving a long-wheelbase transit vehicle.
- Ability to follow work instructions accurately and understand maps and plans.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Working with Us:
We are looking for a hard-working individual who can work independently to deliver high-quality services. Weekend work may be required.
