SEN Learning Support Assistant Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Colchester.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to support students with Special Educational Needs in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the help they need to thrive in the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop tailored learning experiences for students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform future support strategies.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Understanding of various SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to support children with different learning needs and a strong commitment to helping them achieve their full potential.
