About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Casual Registration Officer to join our team at Hull Register Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all ceremonies are conducted with professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host ceremonies at our ceremony room at the Guildhall and other approved venues across the city.
  • Coordinate the provision of services at the Guildhall, ensuring access to and use of the building and ceremony room.
  • Perform legal preliminaries prior to marriage ceremonies, ensuring that all information is current and accurate.
  • Conduct a range of ceremonies, both legal and non-legal, that are suitable and befitting for the occasion.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a legislation-driven environment and ability to interpret and understand law relating to marriage and civil partnership.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and appropriately to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to work flexibly and be available on weekends, including Sundays and Bank Holidays.
  • Methodical approach, attention to detail, and accuracy skills.
