Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled mechanical fitter/assembler to join our team at Prime Appointments. As a well-established engineering firm, we require a candidate with a strong knowledge of hydraulic systems to work on heavier plant equipment used in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble hydraulic equipment to the highest quality standards
  • Ensure all equipment and parts are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for fitting
  • Test assembled products to guarantee quality and accuracy
  • Read and work from engineering drawings (CAD)
  • Be flexible and willing to assist and work in other departments as required

Requirements:

  • Background in mechanical fitting or similar discipline
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings (CAD)
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist in other departments

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30, with overtime paid at increased rates

Job Type:

Permanent position, subject to a successful 3-month probation period
