About The Role

In the Industry Operations Department, this role is designed to assist the Technical Industry Team Leader and the Head of Industry Data in achieving departmental goals by delivering a robust suite of Management Information (MI) reporting and analytics, alongside valuable insights into industry performance.

Your primary responsibility will be to detect fluctuations, trends, and anomalies in workload and performance metrics, conducting thorough investigations to provide expert recommendations for enhancing or mitigating future challenges.

Reports generated will be disseminated across various business sectors to ensure cohesive collaboration and support for process documentation and enhancements as necessary.

This position will also involve liaising with external partners to elevate industry performance and manage exceptions effectively.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass supporting project initiatives and the rollout of new capabilities.

The department operates in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, focusing on maintaining the integrity of data both internally and with industry stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze trends within reporting, swiftly addressing any spikes or dips in workload or performance.
  • Support operational processes across the organization from an analytical and process enhancement viewpoint.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team to achieve shared objectives, utilizing ESG data to prioritize impactful work and agree on joint deliverables.
  • Develop balanced scorecards and fit-to-bill reports, incorporating processes that ensure customers are billed according to target dates and produce standard bills.
  • Engage with industry groups, supplier forums, and change panels to ensure that changes are managed effectively, issues are identified for improvement, and compliance with upcoming modifications is maintained.
  • Conduct impact assessments to manage changes, quality, and industry governance and compliance.
  • Provide support for industry and systems changes, including implementation and testing phases.
  • Assist with broader initiatives within Industry Operations and the wider business, offering project, analytical, and subject matter expert support.
  • Collaborate with third parties on performance enhancements, utilizing analysis outputs to agree on actions and development opportunities.
  • Manage general change requests through a change log and coordinate project requests to prioritize the implementation of bug fixes and error corrections.
  • Respond to industry outages and issues, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and mitigation strategies are enacted.
  • Support performance improvements within the AFMS, working closely with the ESG team.
  • Participate in the change release roadmap alongside technology teams, acting as the end-to-end process owner to ensure industry data impacts are recognized and addressed prior to release.
  • Oversee the performance of third parties through effective reporting in collaboration with the Technical Industry Team Leader and the Third Party Contract Manager.
  • Facilitate training and process improvements for Industry Operational staff, aiding in their development through data and insights shared with the Industry Operations Team Leader.
