We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Claims Handler to join our Claims Specialty Team based in Chelmsford. This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual with a proven track record in claims handling.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage claims from various products, including Property, Liability, Marine, and Business Interruption, ensuring service standards are met and exceeded.
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of Acturis and utilize it to efficiently manage claims.
- Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients as required.
- Ensure complex claims are handled in accordance with group procedures.
- Acknowledge new claims to clients and insurers, and keep clients informed of progress.
- Produce claims MI/claims reports when required.
- Meet with clients to present claims information and provide updates.
- Undertake other duties as requested by management.
- Ensure personal CPD is managed and kept up to date.
- Robust Property, Liability, Marine, and Business Interruption insurance claims handling experience.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of insurance claims procedures.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, applying TCF and KYC methodologies.
- Acturis system knowledge (desirable) and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Cert CII or working towards similar.
- Highly organized with great time management skills.
- Positive 'can do' attitude and natural problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
