Technical Sales Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Administrator to join our team at GHA Recruitment Ltd. This role will be based in Croydon and will involve working with a specialist company in intelligent drive technology and systems.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with internal and external customers. They will also have experience of working within an ERP system and be proficient in Microsoft Office Word & Excel.

The role will involve a range of responsibilities including communicating with customers, analysing incoming requests, preparing quotations, and processing customer purchase orders.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, and who is able to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of export regulations and be able to work with others to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with internal and external customers via phone and email
  • Analyse incoming requests and respond to customer communications
  • Prepare and check quotations in line with discount policies and Sales Manager guidance
  • Process customer purchase orders in our local ERP system
  • Effectively communicate changes to dispatch and warehouse regarding customer orders
  • Prepare customer requested shipping documents and labels
  • Process Sales Returns & Credits as appropriate
  • Support customers with updates on existing orders and requests
  • Collate and understand risk assessment information and complete the Master Check List for orders as required
  • Collaborate with and assist others to contribute to the success of the sales & service teams

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word & Excel
  • Experience of working within an ERP system
  • Ability to identify component parts from drawings
  • Experience from a Mechanical engineering environment would be beneficial
  • Important experience in export regulations post Brexit
  • Ability to work with others and be part of a fast moving team
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external customers

What We Offer:

  • 35k to 39k depending on experience
  • Hours are Mon-Thurs 08:30 to 16:30 and Fri 08:30 to 15:30 a 36.5 hour week
