About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive to join our team at Manolo Blahnik. As a key member of our Ecommerce trading team, you will play a crucial role in driving online sales and conversion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trading
    • Responsible for the day-to-day trading of our online channels, ensuring that sales and conversion targets are met.
    • Work closely with the Head of Digital & Customer Experience to develop and implement sales forecasts and strategies.
    • Collaborate with the Digital Product & Content Manager to optimize the mobile and desktop sites, improving customer experience and conversion rates.
    • Optimize onsite search to improve customer experience and conversion.
    • Work with the Digital Product & Content Manager to revise and constantly improve the product conversion funnel from category view to product page and checkout.
    • Responsible for seasonal product launches, collaborating with merchandising, production, and content teams to ensure product images, product descriptions, and merchandising are completed effectively and on time.
    • Prepare the sites for sale and seasonal marketing campaigns throughout the year, partnering with the Digital Marketing team to ensure alignment.
    • Manage the relationship with Globale from a trading perspective, ensuring smooth running at all times.
  • Online Visual Merchandising
    • Ensure that product listing pages are effectively merchandised, on brand, and optimized.
    • Work with the Digital Content Assistant to ensure that all product content is delivered on time, is commercial, and accurately reflects both the product and the brand.
    • Responsible for maximizing cross-selling opportunities across all categories of the sites, ensuring our product recommendation tool is maximized at all times.
    • Conduct weekly quality control checks to maintain high standards across all sites.
    • Work with the Communication team to reactively promote all product featured in press to maximize exposure on site.
  • Product
    • Maintain Ecommerce stock levels in line with sales performance, using insights to forecast and flag any additional requirements or issues to the merchandising teams.
    • Control Ecommerce stock, ensuring relevant stock is available to deliver our sales plan.
    • Ensure broken size runs are removed from the sites in a timely manner.
    • Work with the Merchandising and Retail teams on the future season buy, including best seller reports, category, and style performance.
    • Be a product expert and develop product knowledge in the CS team, together with the Retail and Merchandising teams.
    • Ensure product photography and videos reflect the key features and USPs.
    • Work closely with the Digital Content Assistant to ensure product descriptions deliver key selling points, ensuring fit information is updated at all times.
    • Work with the Digital Marketing & Content team on the product selection for all emails and photoshoots.
    • Work closely with the Customer Service team and Hotjar to gain feedback received from customer correspondence to improve end-to-end customer experience.
  • Systems and Reporting
    • Report and monitor sales, key metrics, and product performance for weekly trade meetings.
    • Support the Head of Digital & Customer Experience with the production of ad hoc reports, i.e., monthly, availability, sales performance, returns, and analysis.
    • Highlight sales and conversion trends against forecast and previous performance.
    • Analyze category performance to evaluate merchandising efforts, product sell-through, and product opportunities.
    • Use GA & Hotjar to help optimize product sales and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Must have Ecommerce experience, raising and managing online products.
  • Trading mentality with the ability to investigate and interpret analysis, implement change at pace.
  • Experience and knowledge of trading in both the US and the UK/ROW retail market.
  • Experience with visual merchandising.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and across different teams.
  • Experience with analytical platforms and interpreting data.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of Ecommerce business drivers.
  • Magento experience preferred.
  • Strong MS Office.
  • Strong MS Excel.
  • Pro-active and hands-on approach.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Have a visual and aesthetic awareness.
  • A diligent approach to work with an eye for detail.
  • Can-do, will-do attitude and drive to achieve.
