Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at Montcalm Marble Arch. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats that will delight our guests. You will work closely with our Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop menus that showcase your creativity and skill.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement creative pastry and dessert menus that align with the hotel's culinary vision.
  • Prepare, bake, and present a wide variety of baked goods and desserts, including cakes, tarts, bread, and cookies.
  • Ensure consistency in presentation and flavor across all pastry offerings.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment, ensuring teamwork and professional development.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury or fine-dining environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of pastry techniques, including sugar work, chocolate tempering, and artisanal breadmaking.
  • Formal culinary training with a specialization in pastry arts highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
