Merco Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our client's hospital in a CAMHS Low Secure Unit. As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and safe delivery of clinical care and risk management of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.
- Assist the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.
- Implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme.
- Active Registration with the NMC, meeting the requirements of Revalidation.
- Trained Mentor with clinical supervision experience.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop CPD.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services.

About the Role:
The role of the Deputy Ward Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. You will be responsible for assisting the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward, implementing and evaluating therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme, and ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of clinical care and risk management of young people.

You will be working as part of a multi-skilled, experienced, and motivated multi-disciplinary team, providing comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The team is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs, including those with complex PTSD, Attachment Disorder, or emerging Personality Disorder.
