About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join our Development Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective stewardship journeys for individual donors, regular givers, and fundraisers.

Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining long-term relationships with supporters, ensuring they have a positive experience with our organisation. You will work closely with the Fundraising and Engagement Manager to implement stewardship and engagement action plans, and prepare reports on fundraising activities and supporter trends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Fundraising and Engagement Manager in the delivery of stewardship and engagement action plans
  • Building and maintaining relationships with supporters through prompt, helpful, and professional contact
  • Preparing reports on fundraising activities and supporter trends
  • Contributing to the development of inspiring and engaging communications materials and social media content
  • Working with the Supporter Care team to ensure they have the information and resources required to fulfil donor stewardship journeys
  • Representing the organisation at events to raise awareness of our work and deepen donor engagement

About You

We are looking for an applicant with strong stewardship skills and experience nurturing ongoing relationships. You will be an excellent communicator, confident in engaging a wide range of audiences to enhance the stewardship experience. You will be passionate about sharing our work around wildlife conservation and committed to furthering the mission and ethos of the organisation.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Experience in a fundraising role or relevant experience in a customer stewardship role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for customer service and identifying opportunities to enhance the stewardship experience
  • Ability to plan, balance, and manage competing priorities and workload
  • Excellent numeracy skills to understand supporter giving data
  • Excellent standard of IT competence, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
