About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join our Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, supporters, and fundraisers, ensuring they have a positive experience with our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Fundraising and Engagement Manager in delivering stewardship and engagement action plans for individual donors, regular givers, and fundraisers.
  2. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with supporters and donors, including email, telephone, and postal correspondence.
  3. Prepare reports on fundraising activities, supporter trends, and campaign outcomes to inform donor acquisition and retention strategies.
  4. Contribute to the development of inspiring and engaging communications materials and social media content to update donors and fundraisers on the conservation impact of their support.
  5. Work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to deliver exceptional donor stewardship experiences.
  6. Represent the organisation at events to raise awareness of our work, deepen donor engagement, and acquire new supporters.
  7. Utilise our CRM database and Microsoft Office suite to manage records, monitor progress, and inform decision-making.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with strong stewardship skills, experience in fundraising or customer stewardship, and excellent communication skills. You will be passionate about sharing our conservation work and committed to furthering our mission and ethos.

Key Skills
  1. Experience in fundraising or customer stewardship, with a proven ability to build and nurture long-term relationships.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  3. A passion for customer service and identifying opportunities to enhance the stewardship experience.
  4. Ability to plan, balance, and manage competing priorities and workload.
  5. A logical and methodical approach, with the ability to develop and implement processes and procedures with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent numeracy skills to understand supporter giving data.
  7. Excellent IT competence, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
