We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our dynamic team at Halo Personnel Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company properly discharges all of its legal obligations and related duties under current Health and Safety legislation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Commercial Vehicle repair industry and its regulations, with a comprehensive working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing robust H&S strategies, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Assisting line managers in implementing H&S policies and procedures
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying strategies to reduce risks
  • Carrying out RIDDOR accident investigations and producing management reports and recommendations
  • Supporting line managers in carrying out risk assessments and identifying strategies to reduce risks

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in the Commercial Vehicle repair industry and its regulations
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and practice
  • Experience of working with risk assessments and method statements
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with the workforce
