Role OverviewAs an Area Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive management of our retail operations, currently encompassing 10 convenience stores in Dundee and central Scotland, with rapid growth anticipated in the near future. We seek dynamic individuals who embrace challenges and strive to elevate our convenience store chain to new heights.
This position is field-based, requiring you to effectively manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to achieve KPIs and objectives. While your primary focus will be on store visits, some time will also be allocated to our Head Office.
Your role will involve providing extensive support to all stores in your area, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and offering guidance across various operational aspects within the convenience sector. A key focus will be on enhancing team morale, fostering innovation, and encouraging creativity within the stores.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and cultivate a robust management team, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment.
- Ensure business KPIs are consistently met.
- Collaborate with store managers to strengthen community ties and organize local events.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
- Manage colleague recruitment, mentoring, training, and career progression opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and operational procedures.
The Area Manager is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week across 5 days, including evenings and weekends as required by business needs. We offer a flexible working approach, allowing for adaptability in hours as long as objectives are achieved.

Qualifications:
- Experience in Area or Multi-Store Management is essential.
- A valid driving license is required.
- Must be centrally located in and around the Dundee area.
- Experience in food retail is preferred.
