Construction Site Supervisor - Infrastructure

Location – West Yorkshire

Role Overview

As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing precise engineering control and setting out on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site engineering control and setting out tasks, delivering information to workers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain daily logs along with any necessary photographic documentation.
  • Conduct material reconciliations.
  • Ensure all surveying instruments are properly calibrated.
  • Perform as-built surveys on completed works and drawings.
  • Create design and development site sketches.
  • Support the maintenance of quality records, ensuring all work is conducted in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and keeping accurate as-built records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and scheduling.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers as needed.
  • Manage and reduce waste on site.
  • Identify and assist in implementing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
  • Ensure all company assets under your supervision are well-maintained and securely stored when not in use.
  • Contribute to creating a safe working environment.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to read and interpret data and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in advanced setting out techniques and capable of using Level and EDM, with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Relevant experience in Civil Engineering (Infrastructure, Rail, Water, or Aviation).
  • Demonstrated leadership and delegation abilities.
  • Adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • NVQ Level or higher qualification.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • Proficiency in office software/CAD.
