Position Overview:

As a Registered Manager for a Children's Residential Home, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young individuals aged 11 to 16 years. Your leadership will guide a dedicated team in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead and motivate your team to foster a positive atmosphere filled with joy, friendship, and discovery.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing guidance on child protection and coordinating necessary actions.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain open communication with external agencies, including Children's Social Care Services and Ofsted, to ensure collaborative safeguarding efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Current management experience in a children's care setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Every Child Matters framework.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, with a Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential home for children and young people.
