Starting Salary: £25,480 (inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week). We are seeking a Full-Time Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team providing round-the-clock assistance to adults facing intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges across multiple services.

Our Supported Living team is committed to empowering our residents to engage in their daily activities, fostering independence and a fulfilling lifestyle.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Upholding the rights of our tenants and encouraging self-expression
  • Addressing emotional and communication needs
  • Assisting with essential life skills, including budgeting, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning
  • Facilitating community engagement through appointments and social events
  • Creating enjoyable experiences filled with laughter

Whether you are helping a resident with grocery shopping or meal preparation, this role allows you to enhance your skills in attention to detail and interpersonal communication.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Empathy and patience
  • Open-mindedness and eagerness to learn
  • Resilience and problem-solving abilities
  • A positive attitude and sense of fun
  • Care Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)

We are looking for individuals with a positive mindset, adaptability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Support Worker Shifts

This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week, with a combination of early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Some sleep-ins are also necessary, compensated at a rate of £67.50 per night.
