Position Overview

Crest Nicholson has been a prominent name in the construction of new residences for over six decades, dedicated to not only building homes but also fostering vibrant, sustainable communities.

The South West division of Crest Nicholson is currently seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to become a vital part of the Technical team.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Technician looking to advance and develop a long-term career within Crest Nicholson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Technical Management team with technical evaluations, ensuring timely delivery of abnormal cost assessments for potential development sites.
  • Offer cost-effective solutions for the physical development of land as required.
  • Ensure that sites can be adequately serviced and constructed upon, as requested.
  • Support strategic land acquisitions and planning appeals, including conducting technical studies, negotiating with regulatory authorities, and managing consultants while reviewing their reports.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, providing necessary documentation and drawings pertinent to contracts and sites.
  • Develop comprehensive Design schedules, managing the production of information to align with the company's business objectives.
  • Assist in managing Technical and Services budgets.
  • Provide feedback on all technical design issues encountered during construction to the Technical Managers.
  • Maintain awareness of current material and construction research, making recommendations or alerts as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to uphold professional status and stay informed about industry changes and advancements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical experience in engineering, preferably from an Architectural Consultancy or Developer background.
  • Prior experience in the House Building sector.
  • Degree in relevant fields such as Architecture, Design, Planning, Civil Engineering, or the Built Environment.
  • A background in Civil Engineering is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in interpreting complex technical drawings and plans.
  • Able to cultivate and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and NHBC standards.
  • Strong proficiency in IT.
