Reception Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher to join our team at a Good two-form entry primary school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young learners and contributing to a supportive and exciting learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities for children in accordance with the National Curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's development and well-being
  • Evaluate each child's progress and adapt the curriculum to meet their individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records of each student's development and progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior staff members to ensure a collaborative approach to education
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices in education
  • Ensure the health and safety of all students are maintained at all times
Requirements:
  • QTS, EYTS, PGCE, and a strong academic record
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, with a focus on Early Years Foundation Stage or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Reception Curriculum and pedagogy
  • Experience working in a classroom setting
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other education professionals
  • Passion and commitment to children's education
  • Strong customer service orientation, with excellent relationship-building skills
