About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Manager to join our consultancy, working on secondment with a leading Highways and Civil Engineering contractor. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role in delivering major infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of ongoing Highways and Civil Engineering projects.
  • Ensure effective contract administration and compliance with agreed contractual obligations.
  • Lead on cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management, ensuring all financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and review cost forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with the project delivery teams to ensure smooth commercial operations and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in commercial management, preferably in the Highways and Civil Engineering sector.
  • Strong contract administration and compliance skills.
  • Excellent cost control and procurement skills.
  • Ability to prepare and review financial reports and forecasts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
