About the Role

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in a Metallurgy Laboratory Technician position. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, testing, and reporting on materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and test materials for various applications.
  • Conduct metallography and cleanliness verifications.
  • Perform weld assessments and corrosion testing.
  • Carry out hardness testing and use metallurgy-focused microscopes.
  • Report findings to clients and customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support the technical operation of the laboratory.
  • Maintain accurate records of observations.
Requirements
  • Education to degree or HNC standards or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in metallurgy or corrosion testing is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
