Job Title: Supervisor

We're seeking a skilled Supervisor to join our Transportation team in Glastonbury, Somerset. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting our highly esteemed maintenance works contract with Somerset County Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Planned Works Manager in programming, managing, and delivering planned works, ensuring timely completion and compliance with program requirements.
  • Supervise daily allocation and management of works and resources, ensuring adherence to maintenance requirement plans and emergency response protocols.
  • Promote health and safety in the workplace, setting a good example for other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general health and safety responsibilities.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and emergency services as required, communicating effectively and maintaining strong relationships.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working within the highways industry, including knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery.
  • Hold an SSSTS or higher qualification and a full driving license.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
