Secure Care Services Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in our new secure care services at Northgate Park, Morpeth. Our Sycamore Unit is a 12-bed medium secure unit providing treatment for men with complex mental health and personality disorder diagnoses.

As a Primary/Named Nurse, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative and needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide excellent professional, skilled, and effective person-centred, evidence-based nursing care, actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the MDT.
  2. Provide high-quality nursing care, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of service users are met.
  3. Contribute to the achievement of performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.
  4. Participate in clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification
  • Experience of working with service users with complex mental health/learning disability needs.
  • Clinical Supervision and leadership skills.
  • Mental Health/Learning Disabilities knowledge and experience.
  • Care Coordination and Safeguarding expertise.
  • Experience of working in inpatient services and SCM knowledge.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative working and time management skills.
