Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team at AMETEK, Inc. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for carrying out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment. You will work closely with our experienced engineers to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Undertake mechanical tasks such as fault finding, machine strip downs and rebuilds, and planned and preventive maintenance
  • Undertake electrical tasks such as fault finding, electrical installation work, and PAT testing
  • Create risk assessment/method statements prior to commencing work activities
  • Accurately record and document maintenance activities using the maintenance system
  • Escalate any faults and provide regular progress updates to the facilities manager

Requirements:

  • Proven relevant experience working within maintenance or repairs engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems (both single and three phase)
  • Mechanical experience of maintaining plant equipment
  • Experience undertaking general fabrication work (mechanical and electrical)
  • Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings
  • Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems
