Logistics Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Groomfield Recruitment Ltd. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transport team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the driver team, allocating drivers based on skills, abilities, and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with drivers to deliver exceptional customer service, building and maintaining successful working relationships.
  • Liaise with recruitment to ensure optimal driver coverage and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with the Planning Team for smooth journey execution and provide updates to the Customer Service Team.
  • Offer out-of-hours emergency cover on a rota basis and respond to emails from team members, other departments, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Communicate confidently with all team members, possessing strong problem-solving skills and being highly organized and able to multitask.
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with drivers and other stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of £11.74 per hour, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, a company pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and internal promotion opportunities.
