We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our Global Procurement & Supply Chain team at Dechra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the strategic and tactical aspects of sourcing product-related categories within the Pharmaceutical sector.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to meet business requirements and drive cost optimization and security of supply.
- Lead and manage a team of Category Procurement Specialists to ensure effective category management and supplier relationships.
- Coordinate and develop strategic sourcing teams to drive continuous improvement of processes, cost savings, and value creation.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Product Development, Regulatory, QC, and Global Supply site teams.
- Guarantee operational performance by being a proactive business partner and driving business growth.
- Manage a full portfolio of suppliers within the category, including commercial negotiations and contracting.
- Execute business review meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders, monitor global KPIs, and develop suppliers according to the principles of Supplier Relationship Management.
- Lead Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Supplier Evaluations, and Due Diligence, Negotiation, Contracting, and ultimately own Supplier Relationship Management for key contracts.
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in international pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably with experience in pharmaceuticals (veterinary) manufacturing guidelines (GMP). The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple product-related procurement categories within the Pharmaceutical or other chemically regulated industry, as well as in-depth knowledge of procurement systems and best practices.
