Job Overview

We are in search of a Transport Planner (& Operations Support) to enhance our Eventor F1 team. In this role, you will be responsible for devising a strategy that effectively utilizes the available resources, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements related to working time directives and EU driver regulations.

Your role will also involve maintaining high standards of customer service for the tasks assigned to the resource pool, focusing on how to improve and uphold agreed-upon customer and business performance indicators.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, typically operating from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some flexibility required. We offer a competitive salary and the chance to work with a leading organization in the industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Transport Planner include:

  • Support the Transport Manager with compliance administration for daily and weekly operations.
  • Ensure consistent completion of GTS housekeeping tasks.
  • Timely completion of depot logs.
  • Promptly input trailer numbers.
  • Monitor and report on empty legs during shifts.
  • Track time lapse and restricted parking reports within specified timeframes.
  • Complete Microlise debriefs punctually.
  • Report any Microlise errors to the central team.
  • Check resource availability for shifts.
  • Confirm driver start times for the following day.
  • Report any WTD issues or concerns to the Operations team.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the driving team to enhance the use of Microlise.
  • Facilitate clear communication between day and night shifts using the night shift handover document.
  • Utilize 'n' function in accordance with traffic regulations to optimize resource allocation.
  • Manage driver hours in relation to customer needs and volume demands.
  • Understand and achieve specific targets regarding resource utilization, loaded and empty legs.
  • Implement communication from Team Leaders, particularly regarding traffic management and trailer type utilization.
  • Assist at the drivers/debrief counter as needed.

Ensuring Customer Performance by:

  • Reviewing allocated customers within assigned resource pools to ensure timely planning and appropriate equipment usage.
  • Communicating effectively with ESL Customer Services and Drivers to meet customer KPI targets.
  • Completing and reporting on Benefits and Concerns weekly.
Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Transport Planner, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of WTD and EU Drivers Hours regulations.
  • CPC National Qualification (not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with GTS, Microlise, MyFleet, and Myworkforce.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to critically assess and enhance existing processes.
