CMC Markets is seeking a skilled Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our team and contribute to a crucial transformation project: Customer Onboarding Vendor Integration & Cloud Transformation.

We are modernizing our onboarding systems for retail customers across various global jurisdictions, including Canada and Singapore. This requires seamless integration with specific third-party vendor systems into our proprietary trading platform technology.

Your Role:

As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a new cloud-native API and integration layer on AWS. This architecture will facilitate the required integrations with third-party vendors, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a robust AWS-based onboarding vendor integration architecture.
  • Deliver one or more proof-of-concept integrations with third-party systems within the new architecture.
  • Ensure the architecture is functional, operational, and scalable in our production environment.
  • Provide comprehensive training and handover to CMC Markets' in-house development team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven commercial experience as a full-stack engineer, delivering frontend Web applications on an AWS backend within the financial services industry.
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Jest, AWS Serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.), and GitHub.
  • Experience integrating with third-party system APIs into an AWS backend.
  • Familiarity with product and design lifecycles, collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
  • Experience utilizing backend APIs and optimizing frontend performance.
  • Experience contributing to and working with shared code libraries.
  • Passion for empowering users through the features you build.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks and gather requirements.
  • Ability to solve complex coding challenges related to performance and reusability while continuously improving code quality using a TDD approach.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and collaborate on emerging technologies.
