Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a background in finite element analysis to join our team as a Senior/Principal Stress Engineer - Nuclear. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex stress analyses and structural integrity assessments for various clients in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality stress analyses and structural integrity assessments for clients in the energy industry.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to capture requirements, set up projects, and deliver right-first-time solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovative thinking and deliver projects to time, quality, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, basis of analysis, and safety case references.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or other relevant qualification).
  • Experience in delivering complex stress analyses or structural integrity assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and supportive office/site environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in working in a safety-critical and heavily regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes such as ASME III, RCC-M, BS7910, R3, R5, R6, etc.
  • Experience in workflow automation using Python.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional institute (or approaching registration).
