About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Coach to join our team at Maze 8 Solutions Ltd. As a Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs, disabilities, learning difficulties, or medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to learners to facilitate their learning and achievement of qualification aims.
  • Implement and deliver support plans as directed by Lead Professionals, lecturers, and other relevant professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized programs of support to enable learners to achieve their goals and progress towards Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
  • Safeguard learners and promote their well-being in all aspects of their learning.
Requirements
  • Ability to work flexibly throughout the week by prior agreement.
  • Experience of working successfully with young people or adults in a supporting/mentoring role within an educational setting.
  • Experience of working with learners who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, disabilities, learning difficulties, medical conditions, ESOL, English, and Maths support needs.
  • GCSE/Level 2 or equivalent education with grades A*-C in English and Mathematics, or willingness to study towards achieving this level.
  • Good working knowledge of the support needs of learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs, disabilities, learning difficulties, medical conditions, ESOL, English, and Maths support needs in an educational setting.
  • Good literacy and note-taking skills to support learners up to Level 3 (e.g., A-level standard).
  • Commitment to and good working knowledge of recent equality/diversity, care, and SEND legislation and its implications for the Learning Support Service.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Current and up-to-date DBS certificate.
