Procurement Manager Job Description

At Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for assessing our current purchasing and procurement practices and developing strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the company's current purchasing processes and assess procurement needs, goals, and objectives regarding risk, cost, and growth.
  • Develop and document procurement policies and procedures tailored to the company's specific needs.
  • Assess procurement-related risks and develop robust risk mitigation strategies.
  • Consolidate existing suppliers and identify potential risks.
  • Set up vendor management processes, including ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate and recommend procurement software or tools that align with the company's requirements.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in establishing procurement functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a global setting.
