Job Title: Investment Operations Associate

Join Ares Management Corporation as an Investment Operations Associate and contribute to the success of our European Agency and Private Debt deal closing functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the effectiveness of post-close events, reviewing and negotiating operational points of credit agreements, and ensuring accurate and timely booking of upsizes and amendments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate post-close events across deal teams, legal counsel, trustees, administrators, and other internal teams.
  • Assist with reviewing and negotiating operational points of credit agreements, including understanding operational compatibility and requirements around operational risk and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely booking of upsizes and amendments, and act as an escalation point for par and cash breaks across Ares entities.
  • Work with relevant team members and internal departments to manage restructurings and complex facilities.
  • Identify workstreams to transition to our India Operations coverage team and provide clear requirements and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of LMA bank loans with a focus on agency considerations.
  • Experience working on middle office technology and workflow projects.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrable financial services experience, including 3+ years of credit experience in wholesale banking or credit risk management.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to run cross-departmental meetings and communicate with varied audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment.
  • Strong control focus and ability to challenge and streamline processes.
