We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our successful team in Motor Trade insurance. The role involves managing a book of around 150 clients, handling their enquiries, and building lasting relationships.
As an Account Handler, you will be instrumental in delivering flawless service to our clients, ensuring their happiness and ongoing partnership. You will work closely with the Account Executive to implement successful strategies and achieve outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise effectively with the Account Executive to ensure an appropriate strategy for renewal, attend client meetings as necessary, and action meeting points (if applicable).
* Undertake market exercises to establish the most competitive terms available.
* Acquire renewal terms and present them to clients.
* Produce and issue professional summaries and reports using Howden templates.
* Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
* Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover and in line with Howden procedures.
* Prioritise and handle all work promptly and accurately.
* Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process them effectively in line with service standards.
* Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and make effective use of the diary system.
* Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times using relevant Howden templates.
Requirements:
* Solid understanding of all the main classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
* Knowledge of motor trade insurance or High Net Worth within motor insurance is desirable.
* Good level of technical insurance skills, to be assessed by regular in-house testing.
* Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
* Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Excellent client service skills, combined with good negotiation and broking experience.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
* Ability to capture and analyse information from the client and respond appropriately to an individual client's level of understanding.
