Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Supply Chain to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the management of Supply Chain resources across the UK to ensure the skills, capability, and processes needed to support the business's financial and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the SCM strategy to ensure it meets the business requirements and customer deliverables, as well as ensure the departmental performance against goals
  • Ensure that the supply chain department meets or improves on budget, cost, and efficiency targets (KPIs) in line with business objectives
  • Manage and promote key supplier relationships and collaboration
  • Deliver clear leadership and direction to the supply chain team to engender a customer and delivery-focused approach
  • Be a single point of contact for the business unit for material budgets, UMC, MEAC – ETC information

Requirements

  • Experience in procurement and subcontract management in a technical engineering environment. Defence and or aerospace sector would be preferential.
  • Experience of managing teams based in multiple locations
  • Experience working in the tactical environment (what needs to be done now to achieve the current business aims) and the strategic environment (establishing and aligning the team around strategic objectives and goals)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Leadership through influence and effective conflict resolution
  • Strong financial experience
  • Strong communication skills from the front end to the boardroom
