Position Overview: Quality Engineering

Are you an experienced Quality Engineering professional with a background in New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrial processes? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and possess expertise in the automotive sector or tier 1 manufacturing? If so, Owen Daniels Consultancy is looking for a Quality Engineer to contribute to a leading automotive supplier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation, specifications, and requirements to ensure comprehensive understanding and precise cost estimation.
  • Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Formulate and revise Process Flow documentation and Control Plans to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Advocate for customer-preferred methodologies such as Poka-Yoke and Measurement System Analysis to enhance product quality.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teams during the development of new products or modifications to existing engineering processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven expertise in quality management systems, measurement techniques, and statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Strong familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Prior experience in high-volume production environments, especially in plastic injection molding, painting, and assembly operations.
