Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our site, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First line supervision of a team of 10 engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Supervision and escorting of subcontractors, ensuring that they are aware of and comply with all site rules and regulations.
  • Obtaining and compiling quotations for remedial works and small projects, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Day-to-day supervision of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
  • Day-to-day supervision of the reactive helpdesk activities, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Completion and management of PPM-based risk assessments, identifying and mitigating any potential risks to the site and its occupants.
  • Responsible for updating the site-based logbook system and records, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Chasing progress updates on spares and other procured materials and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are delivered on time and to the required standard.
  • Part of a full Total Facilities Management (TFM) account delivery, adopting a one-team working approach with all other service streams.
  • Assist the Hard Services Manager to ensure operational performance is optimized and engineering efficiency is at its maximum.
  • Offer guidance, support, and assistance to the site engineering team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and expertise to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover as and when required for the Hard Services Manager, ensuring that the site continues to operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Deliver engineer and site audits in line with Company Health & Safety policy, identifying and mitigating any potential risks to the site and its occupants.
  • Deal with engineering issues daily, escalating where required to ensure that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide PDA field training for new and existing engineers when required, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Actively engage with new engineering team members and the new starter process to ensure a seamless introduction to the contract.

Requirements:

  • A Time Served Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration technician with NVQ/C&G formal qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Trend/Cylon BMS systems.
  • L8 Awareness trained.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Systems.
  • Experience within the cleanroom/pharmaceutical environment.
  • Low/High Pressure Steam Systems (desirable).
  • HV networks experience (desirable).
  • Hold valid IPAF or PASMA Certification/Licence (desirable).
