Battery Assembly Quality Engineer

At Vertical Aerospace, we're pioneering electric aviation and seeking a skilled Battery Assembly Quality Engineer to join our Powertrain Team in Bristol. As a key member of our Battery team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the rigorous standards we set are met and surpassed within our battery manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Energy Storage team to create documented information and control processes to support working activities.
  • Utilize quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, control plans, FAIRs, process flows, and cost of quality to develop control plans and supporting inspection procedures.
  • Report directly to the Head of Quality and contribute to the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge, and capabilities.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance/control and around 5 years working within a defined quality management system.
  • Strong working knowledge of the assembly of electrical systems (preferably experience with hazardous voltage).
