Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a vital member of an integrated maintenance team, executing maintenance tasks on Instrumentation and Control Systems in a safe, timely, and quality-focused manner to maximize equipment availability and maintain asset integrity.
  • Interpret complex installation P&IDs, PFDs, and C&E Matrices during routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Possess the necessary skills to assemble, install, perform preventative maintenance, test, repair, diagnose faults, and manage instrumentation and control systems and their components.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring safe working practices and clear reporting lines.
  • Provide technical assistance to other disciplines, such as Commissioning, Wells, and Engineering as needed.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of installation processes and critical production systems, including safety monitoring systems.
  • Implement approved isolations on process plants and maintain accurate isolation records.
  • Have a solid understanding of SIL/SIF identified equipment and the testing levels required to maintain plant LOPA protection status.
  • Be aware of preparation and reinstatement requirements regarding work areas, materials, and equipment, recognizing the potential consequences of improper actions.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and equipment manuals, following work instructions and schedules.
  • Select and utilize appropriate tools and equipment, adhering to training, methods, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure the care and security of tools and equipment used in the role.
  • Diagnose functionality and test equipment upon return to service.
  • Assist other disciplines, third-party contractors, and vendors as required.
  • Mentor and train apprentices and trainees.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory Offshore Certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.)
  • Formal Trade Qualification (Instrument Technician)
  • Minimum ONC/HNC qualification
  • COMPEX EN60079 Hazardous Areas certification
  • SBT01/02 certification
  • Emergency Response Training

Experience:

  • Experience in offshore environments
  • Familiarity with ISSOW
  • Proficiency in Maximo
