Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus car / allowance (£5k)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a case load of property reinstatement projects, scheduling repairs and redecoration works, and managing contractors to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a case load of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial)
  • Schedule repairs/redecoration works and produce scopes
  • Manage contractors and repairs projects to completion (inc. cost management)
  • Ensure Health & Safety / CDM compliance & carry out site audits
  • Identify new contractors for addition to the network as required
  • Performance manage/audit the contractors in your area
Requirements
  • Experience in contract managing property refurbishments / renovation projects is essential
  • Some insurance claim damage or subsidence experience/knowledge would be ideal
  • Experience working for a contractor/social housing provider dealing with residential repairs/renovations is required
  • Some knowledge of insurance claims or fire/flood/water/structural damage to properties would be highly advantageous
  • Working knowledge of; Asbestos Handling, CDM, DPA, H&S, Party Wall Act is required
  • Ideally; a building/technical related qualification such as an HNC or Building Surveying/Engineering Degree
  • Strong customer service, communication & organisational skills, be IT literate and have a full UK driving licence
