Head of Fraud Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned fraud professional to lead and drive forward our client's fraud operations in London. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's fraud strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the performance of the Fraud Operations Team, ensuring all SLAs and quality standards are achieved.
  • Design and implement fraud prevention strategies and processes necessary for minimizing risk.
  • Develop and implement effective fraud detection and prevention methodologies.
  • Conduct enhanced Fraud Risk assessments across the business, including establishing a Fraud Risk Framework.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Own full end-to-end resolution of fraud cases, including handling escalations and communications with various business parties.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for the team in relation to fraud prevention and chargeback related matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of investigative operations and analysis results.
  • Produce and present performance reports and commentaries as required.
Requirements:
  • Subject matter expertise in card and account-based fraud across financial services, specifically payments.
  • Proven track record in managing and driving effective fraud teams in the Payments industry.
  • Strong experience in Mastercard chargeback and negative balance processes and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of the fraud regulatory landscape in the UK.
  • Experience in managing 3rd party systems, including ability to manage relationships and vendor negotiations.
  • Commitment to Best Practices: Understanding that fraud prevention is ever-evolving.
