Job Description

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Engineer to join our European Machine Systems team. As an Electronics Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge machine control system technology for construction machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop Electromechanical Control Systems using quantitative methods to provide innovative solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose electronic, software, and hardware controller and sensor issues on development machines, test beds, benches, and dSPACE HIL.
  • Technical Lead: Manage technical Controls and Calibration lead for engine temperature, pressure, cam, and crank sensors.
  • Installation Appraisal: Be involved in the electronic installation appraisal of engine ECU for machine sign-off.
  • System Requirements: Solicit and capture system requirements and associated interfaces for new and current products.
  • Component Development: Identify and develop components, systems, and interfaces to meet customer needs.
  • System Architecture: Define system architectures, input and output requirements, controller interfaces, and schematic creation/development.
  • Validation and Verification: Plan, develop, and execute validation activities to mitigate project risk and ensure solutions are verified and validated for market introduction.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and successfully resolve issues found during product development, assembly, and post-production implementation.
  • Control System Tuning: Conduct control system tuning/calibration activities on test benches and/or on test beds/machines to achieve desired system performance.
  • Sub-System FMEA: Conduct sub-system FMEAs, documenting potential failure modes, identifying, and completing design and validation actions and managing subsequent updates.
  • Verification and Validation Testing: Plan and execute verification and validation testing for electronics/control system software in SiL, HiL, or on-test bed or development machines.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues encountered during engine or power system running.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Three years plus in Automotive, Off-Highway, machine/engine/EV control system development (or comparable automotive, marine, or military vehicle control systems).
  • Technical Background: Three to six years' experience of diesel engines with a strong technical background primarily in construction equipment, automotive.
  • Essential Experience: Essential experience in working with diesel engines.
  • Tools and Software: Experience with Vector tools, D Space, and Canape.
