Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Needs Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with diverse learning needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support for each child.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff involved in the education of students with special needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in special needs education.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Special Needs Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of various special educational needs, including strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
