Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ocean Import/Export Clerk to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our Global Logistics team, you will be responsible for handling both imports and exports of FCL and LCL freight movements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dealing with internal and external customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaising effectively between various UPS departments.
  • Preparing export documentation for packages.
  • Liaising with Customs regarding documentation and resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Investigating and reporting to the Centre or customer to assist with query resolution.
  • Meeting set targets and any additional tasks on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Ocean Import & Export experience (LCL, FCL and Cross Trade beneficial)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Microsoft Word & Excel skills are essential
  • Import/Export documentation
  • Knowledge of Importer Security Filing (ISF), Power of Attorney (POA) and Letter of Credit (LC)
