We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Skills Educator to join our team at Novus, a leading provider of prison education. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to learners, helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.

About the Role

As an English Language Skills Educator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective education programs that meet the needs of our learners. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that our programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of our learners, and that they are delivered in a way that is supportive and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality education programs that meet the needs of our learners
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of our learners
  • Deliver education programs in a way that is supportive and inclusive
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs
  • Contribute to the development of new education programs and initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • A track record of effective teaching in subject specialism
