Plater Technician

We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our team at a major refinery in Southampton. As a Plater, you will be responsible for integrating engineering resources and performing various tasks related to steel fabrication and repair.
Key Responsibilities- Using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove sections of plate
- Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
- Repairing heat distorted steel plate
- Plate, pipe, channel and bracket repairs
- MMA welding on mild steel plate
- CCNSG card
- NVQ / City & Guilds qualification
- Experience of working on industrial sites (e.g. power stations, refineries, steelworks)
- DBS check
