About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Innserve Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement team in sourcing and purchasing goods and services from approved suppliers and service providers.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and contribute to overall budget management.
- Ensure optimisation of company assets to fully and continually satisfy customers' and end users' requirements.
- Maintain suitable economic inventory levels and take a lead in procuring from approved suppliers and service providers.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- A degree-level education or equivalent is ideal.
- A proven track record of achieving results, preferably in a supply chain, purchasing, buying, or procurement environment.
- Proven communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Detailed knowledge of the procurement process and the ability to demonstrate good negotiation and influencing skills.
- A full UK driving license is ideal, as there may be occasions when you will need to travel to visit suppliers.
- Experience with MRP-controlled production environments is desirable.
- Strong organisational and planning skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive IT skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with stock management systems would be beneficial.
What We Offer:
- A salary of up to £28,000 per annum, negotiable on experience.
- A bonus/incentive scheme paid quarterly.
- 23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays per annum.
