Job Role: Commercial Manager
Area: Medway Towns
Salary: £55k - £65k
PW Construction Recruitment is seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. As a key member of the commercial team, you will work closely with project managers to ensure effective financial and contractual control on all contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and agree monthly payment applications with clients' quantity surveyors
- Develop and manage internal budgets in collaboration with the procurement team
- Produce monthly cash flow reports to inform senior management
- Identify, value, and agree variations to contracts
- Collate and analyze cost data to inform cost reports
- Assist in reviewing proposed contracts and contractual arrangements
- Prepare and place sub-contract orders from tender enquiries to order placement
- Manage daily administration of subcontractor accounts
- Evaluate sub-contractor applications and raise payment certificates
- Support the pre-construction team by reviewing tender documentation
- Assess commercial risk on projects and provide support to project team members
- Advise on routine contract administration issues
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum HNC qualification or be working towards a recognized qualification
- Appropriate commercial and financial experience on construction projects
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations in large buildings
- Experience of various contract types and contractual frameworks
- Full UK driver's license
