Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Hub Operations Assistant at our Rugby Hub. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound operations, including throughputs, parcel presentation, productivity levels, and achievement of forecasted CPU against budgeted targets.
- Analyze data and create reports on required aspects of the business, including hourly reports to the management team.
- Support the management of the Inbound and Outbound Gatehouse's, including resolving queries from Shunters and Gatehouse Co-ordinators.
- Ensure all required reporting documentation is maintained and delivered to the required standard and timescales.
- Investigate and resolve missed parcel issues.
- Verify that the correct chutes are active on the sorter system and take corrective action if necessary.
- Support the training of Warehouse Operatives and Section leaders on outbound processes using YMS.
Requirements:
- Excellent mathematical and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC literacy and intermediate-level Excel skills.
- Experience in logistics and distribution.
- Ability to work independently in a pressurized environment.
