About the Role

Evri is seeking a skilled Network Planner to join our team, responsible for managing and optimizing our operational network.



Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:



  • Assist the Network Planning Manager and International Planning Team in implementing planning requirements, including forecasting, monitoring, and improving the entire parcel process from Hub to delivery.
  • Understand Evri network operating windows and processes to create accurate planning and service monitoring data for Hubs, depots, and the wider network.
  • Produce daily reports on volume, service level analysis, and resource requirements.
  • Compile and publish weekly/monthly reports on network status, performance, and compliance for distribution within Operations from Director level and below.
  • Manage the network according to plan across the entire supply chain, from client collection onwards.
  • Analyse Hubs/Depot processing data and consider planning constraints, such as Parcel Machine throughputs and performance.
  • Monitor Forecast versus Actual Performance results, providing accurate information to Hubs and Depots to optimize labour and asset utilization, and train stakeholders on the practical use of this information.
  • Proactively identify activity changes within the Evri network, adapt planning, and review Hubs, Depot, and wider network activities for changes and events such as bank holidays, peak plans, and product changes.
  • Utilize historical data and collaborate with Hubs, Depots, and the wider network to instil a culture of continuous improvement, reducing costs, and enhancing process planning accuracy.
  • Escalate findings to the appropriate operational areas, advise on the impact of non-action, and recommend resolutions while working with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Host daily network conference calls with Managers and Senior Managers across Depot, Field, and Customer services, questioning performance and escalating issues to prevent future failures.
  • Support the delivery of the annual Peak plan across the network.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • Working knowledge of systems used within Evri, BI, MI and SAP.
  • PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office (strong Excel user) - SQL and VBA desirable.
  • An understanding of the Evri operation.
  • Numerate self-starter with excellent data interpretation and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Understanding of the Lean and other process improvement methodology.
  • Strong and confident communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Highly credible and able to influence and win the confidence of others.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a high-pressure environment, establishing effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home as required.
